چکیده

In order to improve the outdoor exposure performance of laminated bamboo, boric acid/borax and UV absorbents, including triazole (UV1130), nano–TiO2, nano–SiO2, were used modify waterborne polyurethane (WPU) coatings, respectively. The physical chemical properties coatings with without modification evaluated by adhesion strength, contact angle, wear, temperature-resistance experiments. antimildew bacteriostatic zone method, pyrolysis characteristics investigated through TG–FTIR analysis. results showed that, when compared unmodified WPU coating, different modifications had stronger wear resistance; mass loss best C4 coating was only 0.0078 g, which 0.0203 g less than that C0 coating. However, wettability modified increased degrees, angle most obvious effect 36.50°. During curing process absorbents would interact C–N, C–O, C=O bonds in change molecular structure WPU. thermal stability enhanced. result, a 76.27% weight loss, observed 1.0% nano–TiO2. Different certain degree control on Aspergillus Niger, reason for this considered combined absorbents.

Synthesis and Characterization of Anionic Polyurethane Dispersants for Waterborne Paints

Anionic polyurethane dispersants APUDs were used as dispersing agents in formulation of waterborne paints. The APUDs were synthesized by three steps. In the first step, macromonomer diisocyanate having carboxylic acid was prepared by isophorone diisocyanate IPDI, dimethylol propionic acid DMPA in presence of acetone as solvent and dibutyltin dilaurate DBTDL as catalyst. Then, carboxylic polyure...

Waterborne coatings

Contact: Dr. Charles F. Palmer Ethox Chemicals [email protected] T +1 864 277 1620 They are used in many industrial and architectural applications. The hydrophobic nature of the alkyd polymer makes them good choices when water repellency is important. However, formulating alkyds into low VOC (volatile organic compound) waterborne coatings results in a number of problems, which can be minimised ...

Synthesis and Characterization of Multifunctional Two-Component Waterborne Polyurethane Coatings: Fluorescence, Thermostability and Flame Retardancy

Fluorescent and flame-retardant two-component waterborne polyurethane coatings were synthesized using 1,5-dihydroxy naphthalene, a halogen-free polyphosphate and a hydrophilic curing agent, and their properties were systematically characterized. The average particle sizes and zeta potential values were below 170 nm and −30 mV. Meanwhile, the multifunctional two-component waterborne polyurethane...
